Under the umbrella of the South Korean Pavilion, organised by The Korea Association of Machinery Industry (KOAMI), Korean leading manufacturers present their latest technologies and products to the Malaysian market.
The Korea Association of Machinery Industry (KOAMI) is the leading industrial organization for the Korean machinery sector. KOAMI provides practical help for individual member companies and actively promotes the sector in general. KOAMI was established in 1969 as a nonprofit manufacturers’ association based on the “Promotion Act for the Machinery Industry” proclaimed in 1967. The main purpose of KOAMI was to act as a unified body with the authority to speak for the industry. KOAMI’s member companies are located through out the country, including the local manufacturers, importers, and distributors of machinery and ancillary equipment. The majority of members are small and medium sized enterprises (SMES) and the membership subscriptions are based on company annual turnover.

Up to 90% of Taiwan machine tool and accessory industry is located in the central of Taiwan, especially at Taichung, the best cluster of machine tool industry in the world. At METALTECH and AUTOMEX, it is all about digitisation. The term “Industry 4.0” was first coined in 2011 from a project in the high-tech strategy of the Germany government, which promotes the digitisation of manufacturing. The progress has since, set the tone for the rest of the world. Over the past few decades, many German companies has developed into a world leader in mechanical and electrical engineering.
